So who isn’t loving this weather?? I’m more energized and with that have been making a concious effort to get moving. Did you know you don’t have to actually exercise for a long period to see results and feel better?? New research has found just changing the little things like taking the stairs, parking farther away in the lot, and even knitting while watching TV all add up. Our metabolism decreases with age and that is why it is harder to keep the weight off after 40. By keeping active and busy, our metabolism increases (or at least doesn’t decrease as much) and we can either lose weight (exercise combined with a healthy low-fat diet) or maintain it. Exercise also increases our endorphins (those happy hormones) and can help in alleviating depression. So, ladies, I challenge you to move this week. What are some creative ways you have found to get movin, burn some calories, and make you smile??
