What a beautiful day. What are you doing? I was lucky enough to enjoy a walk with my Windy City Explorers yesterday through the Kenwood/Hyde Park neighborhoods in Chicago. We walked throughout the streets and envisioned past lives of gentlemen and ladies living in these fantastic mansions.
One area of interest encompassed President Barack Obama’s home (who happened to have stayed there the night before). We were unable to see the house as the vast numbers of police and secret service agents rimming the perimeter kept us at bay. However, much to our amaze and astonshiment, the President came out for a walk! We were allowed to go over and he graciously shook our hands while cel phone cameras were whipped out for pictures. He was very friendly and cordial. We were told the fundraisers attending the dinners the previous night had paid up to $38,000/plate for this same opportunity! What a fabulous once-in-a-lifetime experience!!!
